Environmental Sustainability Policy

At Golf Ball Recycling, we are committed to environmental sustainability and recognise the importance of preserving and protecting natural resources.

Mission Statement

Golf Ball Recycling’s responsibility is to protect the planet for future generations to survive.

As caretakers of the land, we want to improve the planet by reducing landfill waste, toxic water waste, and greenhouse gas emissions while simultaneously encouraging and promoting responsible ownership within the golf community.

With a commitment to integrate environmentally friendly practices in all aspects of GBR’s operations, our environmental sustainability policy revolves around the following five key pillars.

We believe commitment is not just for today but for every day thereafter.

Our Environmental Sustainability Pillars

01

Education and Awareness

We educate individuals and organisations within the golf industry, and wider community, on environmental issues and sustainable practices. By providing the community with the knowledge and an understanding of how to make positive change, we are able to raise awareness and spread our impact.

Our engagement with the community includes:

  • Providing education of environmental sustainability to relevant stakeholders.
  • Strategy planning with an A-to-Z suite of services.
  • Delivering waste management planning to clubs, courses and businesses within the golf industry.
  • Education programs and community outreach initiatives.
  • Partnerships with environmental organisations, such as the EPA and associated government agencies.

02

Commitment to Sustainability and Preservation

With GBR’s consultancy and education programs, we strive to protect and enhance biodiversity on golf courses by preserving natural habitats, planting native vegetation, and minimising the use of ‘synthetic’ chemical pesticides and fertilisers.

Through aligned partnerships and offering Environmental Course Management, we help golf course management and staff embrace the biodynamic nature of the course and maximise the quality of biological assets such as compost, worm-castings, and other associated by-products.

Within our organisation, we actively work to conserve water, energy, and other natural resources in all operational aspects. This includes the responsible use of irrigation systems, energy-efficient lighting, and the implementation of water-saving measures in our facilities.

03

Waste Reduction and Recycling

Reducing waste and promoting recycling begins with our organisation and its facilities.

This includes implementing recycling programs for paper, plastic, glass, and other materials, as well as minimising single-use plastics and encouraging the use of reusable products.

We are committed to identifying further opportunities to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

04

Accountability

We take responsibility for improving the future, one golf ball at a time, while also recognising environmental sustainability as everyone’s responsibility.

We continue to comply with all relevant environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards, while always striving to exceed minimum requirements wherever possible and actively participate in industry initiatives to promote environmental sustainability.

05

Continuous Improvement

We are committed to continually improving our environmental performance through regular monitoring, evaluation, and the implementation of best practices.

We set measurable goals and targets to track our progress and adjust our strategies as needed.

By adhering to this policy, we aim to demonstrate leadership in environmental sustainability within the golf community and contribute to a sustainable future for all.
